Community contributions
This page features open-source packages from the midas community. Their features and flexibility vary, but at the very least will help kickstart development for your device.

Hardware readout
CAEN Dig2 digitizers
- dsproto_vx2740 (Ben Smith - TRIUMF)
- Supports all CAEN "2nd generation" digitizers (VX2740, V2745 etc). Includes code for custom Darkside firmware, which most users can ignore.
CAEN legacy digitizers

- Supports V1724/VX1724/DT5724 etc

EPICS
- msetpoint (Stefan Ritt - PSI)
- Included in midas repo, but makes assumptions about naming conventions.
- epics2midas (Derek Fujimoto - TRIUMF)
- Uses sync groups to reduce the number of requests made to IOCs.
Galil RIO DAC/ADC
- galil_rio (Thomas Lindner - TRIUMF)
- Supports Galil 47120
Keithley / Keysight low voltage supplies
- dsproto_hvlv (Ben Smith - TRIUMF)
- Only tested with Keithley 2450 SMU and Keysight E3648A
Lakeshore temperature controllers
- ds_lakeshore (Ben Smith - TRIUMF)
- Supports the 336 only
Network UPS Tools
- dsproto_ups (Konstantin Olchanski - TRIUMF)
- E.g. Tripp-lite UPS connected via NUT package
Wiener/MPOD power supplies and VME crates

- Auto-detects which modules are present. Supports "fast" readback for generating IV curves etc.

Midas plugins
Shift scheduler
- shiftschedule (Derek Fujimoto - TRIUMF)
- Provides a web interface and database for assigning shifts. Included in midas, in
$MIDASSYS/shiftschedule. - alarmnotify (Derek Fujimoto - TRIUMF)
- Integrates with shiftschedule to automatically phone the current shifter if an alarm is raised.
ODB saving/loading
- odb_save_load (Ben Smith - TRIUMF)
- Web interface for saving/loading parts of the ODB.
